Google My Business Page
Make sure you have a Google My Business page. This is Google’s business directory. Google uses this as a key information source about your business. It’s necessary for you to get found on Google maps. Do a search for your business name in Google and you should see an information box show up on the right-hand side.
If an information box doesn’t show up on the right-hand side with your business information, that means you don’t have a Google My Business page. Go to Google and create a Google My Business page.
Facebook Business Page
If you don’t have a business page on Facebook, you should create one. Having lots of directories list your business is a good thing in Google’s eyes. Here’s some directions on how to create your Facebook Business page.
Name Address and Phone Number
Google likes to see consistency. If you have a different phone number on your website than on Google My Business, it starts to wonder what the actual phone number is.
Make sure that your name, address, phone number, and email information that you have on your website, Google My Business page, Facebook page and any other directories you are listed on, has the same information.
Ask for Reviews
Ask your patients for reviews. Some dentists are concerned that they will get negative reviews. That can happen, however, negative reviews are much more likely to be given when no request for a review is made. Positive reviews are much less likely to be given unless you ask for reviews.
